Sarah looked absolutely gorgeous.  I am looking forward to seeing some photos of the bridesmaids which I will post her as soon as I have them.

I recently had the pleasure of doing a trial run of some drag makeup for a party.  The client was really happy with the look and it was super fun to do.  Drag makeup is over the top and is something that I don’t get to do very often, although I absolutely love doing it.

As you can imagine, the client looks nothing like his usual self which is generally the look that is trying to be achieved with drag!  I look forward to doing his makeup again, if he is brave enough to go through with the look for the party!

[See image gallery at www.christyblanchard.com.au] I recently did makeup for Kari’s wedding.  She had a very non-traditional ceremony but still wanted what all brides want when it comes to makeup, long lasting, beautiful and perfect for photos.

I used lots of waterproof products as it was raining that day and set the makeup with Skindinavia Makeup Finishing Spray.  This ensures that the makeup will last all day long and is water resistant.  It’s great if it’s raining or if you cry!

Today I did a bridal makeup trial for my friend Julia and one of her bridesmaids Sharon.  I used lots of long wearing products, including Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation.  I love this foundation because it lasts and lasts and looks great for hours.  It still looks good after at least 15 hours, especially when used with a primer and a setting spray.  Pretty impressive!

Julia’s wedding will be in March next year but it’s always good to get in early for your trial.  That way, if there are any changes to be made there is lots of time to talk about it and even do a second trial if necessary.   It also means that I will probably be available for your wedding date so you can secure my services for your big day.  Communication is key so always feel free to tell me how you feel about your makeup at your trial.

Simon Colombini was kind enough to allow me to perform my best Criss Angel impersonation and make his tattoo disappear right before his eyes.

Okay, sure, it wasn’t as quick and exciting as Criss, but it certainly disappeared and below are some pictures to show the transformation.  I used Dermablend Leg and Body Cover to achieve this result.

I recently had the pleasure of making up the beautiful Olivia.

She needed makeup for her upcoming Dance Recital. She was thrilled with the outcome.  She won a trophy for being the most improved dancer so she should be very proud of herself!

I used the following makeup products to achieve her vibrant look:

• Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Fresco
• La Femme eyeshadows (pink and purple, mine don’t have labels)
• Graftobian mascara in Black
• MAC blush in Dollymix
• Makeup Forever loose powder
• Illamasqua ‘Sophie’ eyeliner in black
• La Femme red lip liner
• Kryolan lipstick in L98 (bright red)
